The 'golden hour' at the Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve, San Jose

This place is heaven on earth, and just 10 minutes from where I live in north San Jose area. It is amazing! My boyfriend and I have have been a couple of times and this time we did the Aquila loop, that was glorious with a mix of cotton clouds, grayish weather, golden fields...and that super pertinent picnic table waiting for us to have some snacks and contemplate the only tree in the horizon. You will see your cows here and there but mostly peace, peace, and more peace. It is a great loop for meditation if you like. Not an strenuous hike at all, but so photogenic that you will bookmark this just for those photo shoots you are trying to do but never find the perfect place. This one is. Perfect for before sunset, just the last rays during the 'golden hour'.
