Calero Reservoir County Park after the rain

Spring hikes in Calero are awesome! I have been at this county park several times but only at the reservoir, not doing some trails, and this weekend my expectations of seeing many flowers were not met yet the greenery conquered me. Such a beautiful, lush, luscious green landscape of ups and downs those hills. After several days of rain the grass was greener than ever and many different wild flowers popped up (do not expect that dramatic display of multicolored flowers all together though, but touches of color here and there). Butterflies will fly in front of you when hiking! The view of the reservoir is so pretty, it looks so blue and the trails are so empty at noon! (where is everybody?). You will feel re-energized, re-juvenated and totally full of energy at the end of your loop!
